I am a trained natural products and synthetic organic chemist. I have however expanded my skills to cover executive management, technical areas such as general and hazardous waste management, pollution matters, contaminated site clean-up, management and implementation of MEAs, especially the chemical cluster of MEAs (Basel, Minamata, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Waigani conventions), policy development for environmental development issues, project management and implementation.
I am a very friendly person by nature and am very easy to get along with.
Dr. Bartlett has been living and working in Melanesia since 2002, currently as Knowledge Manager for the Australia-Pacific Climate Partnership. His extensive work with communities, civil society, private sector and governments in the Pacific have shaped his current action research interests. These include innovative and science-based solutions and strategies for dealing with change in the Pacific, including climate change. After his PhD at James Cook University, he joined Nobel Laureate Elinor Ostrom's lab at Indiana University to investigate the emergence of networks of community-based MPAs and taboos. Dr. Bartlett resides in Port Vila, Vanuatu and makes frequent consulting, speaking and training trips around the world.
Over 30 years of experience (largely at Director, Team Leader, Lead Consultant or Chief Technical Adviser level) in the Pacific islands, the Mekong subregion of SE Asia and elswhere working in energy policy and planning (including renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security) and broader environmental policy/planning. Clients have included the Asian Development Bank, Australian Aid, East-West Center, European Commission (EC), Climate Parliament, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Global Environment Facility, Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), Greenpeace Pacific, International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN Oceania), River Commission (MRC), Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat (PIFS), New Zealand Aid, Pacific Power Association, Regional Community Forestry Training Centre for Asia and the Pacific (RECOFTC, Bangkok), Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC and earlier SOPAC), Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP), Swiss Agency For Development and Cooperation (SDC), various UN agencies (UNDP, UNFPA, UNIDO, UNOPS, UNESCAP), and the World Bank. With a long-term passion for disaster and climate preparedness in the Pacific, Ms. Nunn has channeled professional and academic efforts for almost 7 years into supporting the work of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHSs) and National Disaster Management Offices (NDMOs) in the context of early warning messaging and weather and climate information needs of end users.
She has had experience working in the private sector in Fiji for Na Draki – Weather and Climate Services, the Research Office at University of the South Pacific, and most recently, the East-West Center in Honolulu, Hawai’i on a regional climate risk management project funded by NOAA. She has also engaged in consultancy work for the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) and looks forward to continue working in the field of disaster and climate services in the Pacific.

Lisa is a manager within KPMG’s Climate Change and Sustainability practice. She as over fourteen years experience quantifying and developing solutions to mitigate the impacts from climate change and sustainability. As a civil engineer specialising in climate change and sustainability, Lisa has worked with asset owners to determine how they are best positioned to respond to the impacts of climate change. She has extensive experience interpreting climate models and has worked closely with CSIRO to run specific climate models for clients. She applies her knowledge to understand and consider the risks and uncertainty of climate change to guide and inform decision making for business and government. She has worked across the major infrastructure phases, design, construction and operation, and assets, from buildings, roads, mines, water, costal settlements, electricity to rail. She has practical design and construction experience, which she has applied to develop design solutions to mitigate the short and long term risks posed by climate change. Lisa knows how to evaluate the costs and benefits of adaptation to determine the most optimal adaptation solution (i.e. optimising investment decisions).
I am a Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist, with diverse experience gained over more than 25 years, the last five in the Pacific region. My focus subject areas include climate change, agriculture, rural development, biodiversity and linking research and policy. My core skills are writing, editing, communications project management and skill sharing/mentoring. Recent projects (and clients) include: Knowledge Management Consultant for the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) Programme (SPREP); content development and editing of the Pacific Gender and Climate Change Toolkit (GIZ); developing a Pacific Climate Change Glossary for the Pacific Climate Change Portal (SPREP); developing and facilitating a workshop on communication skills held at the University of the South Pacific; and co-authoring and editing a book on the Forests of the Pacific Islands (SPC).
